“But why can’t I come now, Lord?” he asked. “I’m ready to die for you.”


Self claimed love may not be love in its actual sense. It is deception. The truth may be bitter but it has to be told. Proverbs 23:23 says buy the truth and never sell it. Truth sold is truth gone. 


Simon Peter was ready to follow the Lord but was not ready to bear the cross. Jesus himself is an expression of the truth. He is the way, truth and life. He is truth personified. Truth is an armour. 


The Word of God is the Word of truth. God is true even if everyone else is a liar. Simon Peter claimed he was ready to die for Jesus but instead, He denied Jesus not once but thrice. 


Ask yourself. Why do you keep doing what you claim you will never do? Why don’t you do the right thing you have said you will do. Stick to your words, Be truthful!
